三菱近日正式发布了2016款帕杰罗Sport。新车前脸与欧蓝德Sport改款车共享三菱最新的“Dynamic Shield”设计语言，增加更多镀铬装饰，细窄前大灯和LED日间行驶灯，而雾灯位于保险杠底部。侧面轮廓并不像车头那般富有吸引力，由于侧窗底部线条上扬，车身有一种被拉长的感觉。车尾采用的垂直尾灯向下一直延伸至后保险杠，显得有点突兀。进入车厢内，一眼就可以看出，内装设计与L200相仿，也很显档次，包括舒适的真皮座椅，银色内饰，大小适中的显示屏。中控台采用黑色抛光装饰，很明显将成为指纹收集器，同时该车首次配备电子手刹。新车动力系统为一台2.4升MIVEC涡轮柴油引擎，搭配新开发的八速自动变速箱。虽然三菱未公布功率和扭矩，但L200皮卡功率为113千瓦/154马力，扭矩380牛米和133千瓦/181马力，扭矩430牛米。2016款帕杰罗Sport将于今年秋季在泰国上市，随后将进入澳大利亚、东盟国家，中东，非洲，拉美，俄罗斯等超过90个国家。
2016 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport officially unveiled
After an endless string of teasers and spy shots, the all-new Mitsubishi Pajero Sport / Challenger has made its official debut.
The mid-size SUV comes with the company's latest "Dynamic Shield" front fascia as seen on the facelifted Outlander Sport so there's plenty of chrome trim on the front where we notice a pair of slender headlights incorporating thin strips of LED daytime running lights while the fog lights have been positioned down low on the bumper.
The side profile doesn't look necessarily attractive as the car seems like it has been stretched from the C-pillar while the rear end with those vertical taillights certainly won't suit everyone's tastes. Those rear lighting clusters take their inspiration from the GR-HEV concept which was shown at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show and just like on that car the taillights extend all the way down to the bumper.
Stepping inside the cabin, it's easy to notice that it has been largely carried over from the L200 / Triton upon which the new Pajero Sport is based and comes with a fairly decent look with some comfy leather seats, silver trim and a decent-sized display for the infotainment system. The central area of the dashboard appears to have a glossy black finish which will obviously be a fingerprint magnet while the electric parking brake makes its debut on a Mitsubishi.
Power comes from a 2.4-liter MIVEC turbodiesel engine teamed up with a newly developed 8-speed automatic gearbox that was created specifically for the new Pajero Sport. The output of the engine has not been disclosed but we do know in the pickup truck it has 154 PS (113 kW) & 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) and 181 PS (133 kW) & 430 Nm (317 lb-ft).
Sales of the 2016 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport will commence this fall in Thailand and shortly after that it will be available in Australia, the ASEAN countries, Middle East, Africa, Latin America and Russia, for a total of more than 90 countries.
