日前，马来西亚著名汽车设计师Theophilus Chin绘制了宝马Z2敞篷车合成图，这款车看起来很有吸引力。如果Z2真设计成这样，估计没人会不满意。合成图上的车型看起来似乎有点眼熟，没错，这张图是基于两年前原石滩车展发布的Zagato敞篷车绘制的。最新传言称Z2将于2016或2017年发布，该车基于UKL平台，采用颇具争议的前驱布局。由于采用软顶替代金属硬顶等轻量化措施，车重仅为1134公斤。该车动力系统选择很可能与MINI Cooper和2系Active Tourer一样，预计包括一系列三缸和四缸引擎。而传言中的Z2 M则搭载2.0升四缸涡轮增压汽油引擎，功率约为224千瓦/300马力并配备全轮驱动系统。

Well-known "automotive manipulator" Theophilus Chin has envisioned a very appealing look for BMW's rumored Z2.

 

We assume very few people would have a problem if the real Z2 would look exactly as depicted in these digital renders which show a very appealing body for what is expected to be BMW's entry-level roadster. If the design looks a little bit familiar, that's because Theophilus Chin used as foundation the Zagato Roadster revealed a couple of years ago at Pebble Beach.

 

The latest rumor indicates the Z2 will be out in 2016 or 2017 riding on the UKL platform and boasting a rather controversial front-wheel drive layout. It will allegedly weigh only 1,134 kg (2,500 lbs) thanks to various lightweight measures such as the adoption of a soft top instead of a heavier metal roof.

 

Engine lineup will likely be carried over from the MINI Cooper and 2-Series Active Tourer so expect an array of three- and four-cylinder motors. The same report said something about a Z2 M equipped with a 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine generating approximately 300 bhp (224 kW) sent to an all-wheel drive system.
