ALPINA B7 Bi-Turbo storms into Geneva with 600 hp

ALPINA is showcasing these days in Geneva the brand new B7 Bi-Turbo based on the latest BMW 7 Series.

 

In typical ALPINA fashion, the new B7 adopts a subtle body kit making it look slightly more aggressive while keeping it classy with those elegant ALPINA CLASSIC multi-spoke 20-inch wheels. Depending on region, the model will be available with a rear-wheel drive layout and/or an xDrive all-wheel drive system. Two exclusive colors will be offered (ALPINA Green metallic, ALPINA Blue metallic) and the car will benefit from an air suspension as well as rear-wheel steering.

 

Lurking underneath the hood is a tuned variant of the biturbo 4.4-liter V8 engine producing a massive 600 horsepower (608 PS / 447 kW) and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque delivered through an optimized eight-speed automatic transmission. This will enable the xDrive-equipped B7 complete the 0-62 mph (0-100 kph) task in 3.7 seconds and reach a maximum velocity of 193 mph (310 kph.)

 

These are some impressive performances taking into account the B7 is not exactly a light car, tipping the scales at 4,651 pounds (2,110 kilograms) in xDrive specification.

 

ALPINA has also made some changes inside the cabin where the latest and greatest B7 Bi-Turbo has Nappa leather seats, sport steering wheel with blue & green stitching, along with a leather-wrapped dashboard. Some of the controls are adorned with a ceramic finish while the door sills come with blue illumination for that extra touch.
