Mini Clubman ALL4 & John Cooper Works Convertible to debut in NY

Mini has announced plans to stage the world debuts of the Clubman ALL4 and John Cooper Works Convertible at the New York Auto Show.

 

First up, the Clubman ALL4 is an all-wheel drive version of the company's latest model. In the United States, the car will be offered with two different engines including a 1.5-liter TwinPower Turbo three-cylinder that produces 134 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque. It can be connected to either a six-speed manual or an optional eight-speed automatic transmission. With the latter gearbox, the Clubman ALL4 can accelerate from 0-60 miles per hour in 9.3 seconds before hitting a top speed of 125 mph.

 

Moving up to the S variant rewards buyers with a 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder engine that produces 189 hp and 207 lb-ft of torque. Transmission options echo the entry-level variant and vehicles equipped with the eight-speed automatic transmission can run from 0-60 mph in 6.6 seconds before topping out at 140 mph.

 

The JCW Convertible, on the other hand, is a high-performance model that features an aggressive body kit and a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 228 hp and 236 lb-ft of torque.   It enables the car to accelerate from 0-60 mph in as little as 6.3 seconds.

 

The Clubman ALL4 will be priced from $25,900 while the John Cooper Works Convertible will start at $35,600.
