Facelifted Range Rover Sport SVR spied, could have 575 hp

The facelifted Range Rover Sport SVR has been spied undergoing testing in the United Kingdom.

 

Looking instantly recognizable, the updated model has a modestly revised front fascia and what appears to be a new rear bumper. Additional changes are limited but the four-tailpipe exhaust system seems to feature larger tips.

 

Under the hood, the supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine will carryover but its output could be increased to match that of the Jaguar F-Type SVR which recently unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show. That particular model has 575 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque, while the outgoing Range Rover Sport SVR develops 550 hp and 502 lb-ft of torque. If the rumors are correct, the facelifted model will gain an additional 25 hp and 14 lb-ft of torque.

 

Thanks to the extra power, the 2017 Range Rover Sport SVR should be able to accelerate from 0-60 miles per hour in less than 4.5 seconds before hitting a top speed in excess of 162 mph.
