Mercedes-Maybach E Class proves bigger is always better

Mercedes recently unveiled the redesigned E Class at the North American International Auto Show and now spy photographers have snapped new pictures of the ultra-luxurious Maybach variant.

 

Designed to appeal to well heeled buyers, the E Class Maybach follows in the footsteps of the S Class Maybach and features an extended wheelbase and longer rear doors.

 

Bigger changes will occur in the cabin as passengers can expect a luxurious interior that features premium Nappa leather upholstery, additional wood trim, and chrome accents. The model should also come equipped with additional sound deadening material, an ambient lighting system, and a Burmester 3D surround sound system.

 

Of course, the biggest change will be the addition of two individually adjustable rear seats which are separated by a full-length center console. The seats will be power adjustable and should have heating and cooling functions.

 

Engine options remain unconfirmed but if the S Class Maybach is any indication, the model will only be offered with the most powerful engines available in the E Class. This suggests the car will have a six-cylinder petrol engine that produces 333 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque.
