Genesis EQ900L introduced, is longer than the Mercedes-Maybach S Class

The Genesis lineup is growing literally and figuratively as the company has quietly introduced the new EQ900L in South Korea.

 

Essentially an extended wheelbase version of the EQ900 / G90, the EQ900L has a familiar design but adopts longer rear doors and a thicker B-pillar. The changes enable the sedan to measure 11.4 inches longer than the EQ900 and 1.6 inches longer than the Mercedes-Maybach S Class.

 

Since the extra room benefits rear seat passengers, it comes as little surprise that the model is equipped with an assortment of high-tech toys and amenities that will help executives to sit back and enjoy the ride. Notable highlights include a rear seat entertainment system and a full-length center console that separates two adjustable rear seats with power footrests. Occupants will also find premium leather upholstery, wood trim, and piano black accents.

 

Under the hood, power will be provided by a 5.0-liter Tau V8 engine that produces 425 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque.

 

Despite its size and luxurious accommodations, the EQ900L is a bit of a bargain as the model will reportedly cost approximately $125,000. For comparison, the Mercedes-Maybach S600 starts at $189,350.
