Porsche 911 GT3 facelift spied on the Nürburgring

The facelifted Porsche 911 GT3 has been spied putting in a few laps on the Nürburgring.

 

Set to follow in the footsteps of the facelifted 911 and 911 Turbo, the 911 GT3 features an evolutionary design that is instantly recognizable. Styling changes are fairly limited at this point but the car has been equipped with a new front bumper, restyled LED day time running lights, and new taillights. The production model could also be equipped with new headlights and modified door handles.

 

Interior changes will be limited but drivers can expect to see a new Porsche Communication Management System with a seven-inch display. The system will have multi-touch gesture recognition technology, Apple CarPlay compatibility, and an improved navigation system with real-time traffic information. Buyers can also expect to see a new steering wheel that has a rotary ring which provides easy access to the car's various driving modes such as Normal, Sport, Sport Plus, and Individual.

 

Power will be provided by an upgraded version of the current model's 3.8-liter six-cylinder engine. There's no word on how much it will produce but the outgoing model has 475 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque. This enables the car to accelerate from 0-60 miles per hour in 3.3 seconds before hitting a top speed of 195 mph.
