Mazda has announced the 2016 CX-9 will be priced from $31,520 when it goes on sale in the United States later this spring.

 

The entry-level CX-9 Sport comes nicely equipped with LED lighting units and 18-inch alloy wheels. The model also has fabric seats, a rearview camera, and a Mazda Connect infotainment system with a seven-inch display. Buyers looking for something more luxurious can order a $950 Sport Package which adds a power driver's seat, heated front seats, and heated exterior mirrors.

 

The $35,970 CX-9 Touring goes one step further as boasts leather upholstery, power front seats, and a Mazda Connect infotainment system with a larger 8-inch display. Other highlights include an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a power liftgate, and a keyless entry system.

 

For an additional $1,745 buyers can order a Touring Premium Package which includes rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlights, and LED fog lights. The package also adds a sunroof, a 12-speaker Bose audio system, and GPS navigation. Rounding out the changes are rear backup sensors, second-row retractable sunshades, SiriusXM satellite radio, and automatic Smart City Brake Support.

 

The $40,170 CX-9 Grand Touring comes equipped with an adaptive front-lighting system, roof rails, and 20-inch alloy wheels. Drivers will also find aluminum interior trim and a memory function for the driver's seat. The model also features an assortment of safety systems including lane-keep assist, a lane-departure warning system, and a radar-based cruise control system with Smart Brake support.

 

Lastly, the range-topping CX-9 Signature costs $44,015 and features Nappa leather upholstery and rosewood trim supplied by Japanese guitar-maker Fujigen. The model also has LED ambient lighting and a standard all-wheel drive system.

 

All the aforementioned models are powered by a turbocharged 2.5-liter engine that develops up to 250 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. It is connected to a six-speed automatic transmission which can be paired to an optional all-wheel drive system for an additional $1,800.
