Acura NSX Roadster gets rendered

Seen here in Honda guise, the renderings depict a stylish looking convertible that stays pretty faithful to the coupe. Despite the styling similarities, the convertible features revised side scoops and a new rear end which accommodates a power retractable soft top. The model has also been equipped with two rollover hoops that sit behind the seats.

 

Like the standard model, the roadster will be powered by a high-tech powertrain that consists of a biturbo 3.5-liter V6 engine and three electric motors. This setup enables the car to produce a combined output of 573 horsepower and 476 pound-feet. Given enough room to play, the all-wheel drive NSX will accelerate from 0-60 miles per hour in three seconds before hitting a top speed of 191 mph.

 

The 2017 Acura NSX coupe will go into production next month and cost $156,000. A convertible variant is still likely a ways off and it will likely carry a hefty premium over the standard model.
