Mercedes has announced the S-Class Cabriolet will be priced from ￡110,120 in the United Kingdom.
Currently available to order, the entry-level S 500 AMG Line features an AMG body kit, LED headlights, and 19-inch alloy wheels. The model has also comes equipped with leather upholstery, heated / ventilated front seats, and an Airscarf neck-level heating system. Other niceties include heated rear seats, an intelligent climate control system, and dual 12.3-inch displays with GPS navigation.
Power is provided by a 4.6-liter biturbo V8 engine that produces 455 horsepower. It enables the car to accelerate from 0-62 miles per hour 4.6 seconds before hitting an electronically-limited top speed of 155 mph.
Moving up to the Mercedes-AMG S 63 Cabriolet rewards buyers with a more aggressive AMG body kit, a sports exhaust system, and 19-inch lightweight alloy wheels. The model also has Nappa leather upholstery, a Driving Assistance package, and a 13 speaker Burmester surround sound system.
Bigger changes occur underneath the hood as power is provided by a biturbo 5.5-liter V8 engine that develops 585 hp. Thanks to the extra power, the dash from 0-62 mph takes just 4.2 seconds. The car's top speed is limited to 155 mph but buyers can order a ￡2,760 AMG Driver’s package which increases the top speed to 186 mph.
The range-topping Mercedes-AMG S 65 Cabriolet goes one step further as it comes with 20-inch alloy wheels and LED headlights with integrated Swarovski crystals. Drivers will also find diamond quilted Nappa leather seats, illuminated door sill plates, and a 23 speaker Burmester 3D surround sound system. There's also a heated steering wheel, a head-up display, and a Night View Assist system.
Of course, the biggest change is the addition of a biturbo 6.0-liter V12 engine with 630 hp. This enables the model to rocket from 0-62 mph in 4.1 seconds before hitting a top speed of up to 186 mph.
