Mercedes E Class Coupe shows its stylish bodywork in new spy photos

The Mercedes E Class lineup continues to grow as spy photographers have snapped new pictures of the E Class Coupe.

 

Looking significantly more attractive than today's model, the 2018 E Class Coupe has curvaceous bodywork that follows in the footsteps of the C and S Class Coupes. A number of styling details are hidden by camouflage but we can see the car will have a single bar grille, a rakish windscreen, and a gently sloping roof which tapers down to a relatively small trunk. Customers will also find a dual exhaust system and slender taillights.

 

The interior will largely carryover from the sedan so customers can expect a significantly improved cockpit that features higher quality materials and a number of new features including a digital instrument cluster with two 12.3-inch displays.

 

Engine options remain unconfirmed but choices are expected to include a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 241 horsepower and a biturbo 3.0-liter V6 engine that develops 396 hp and 384 lb-ft of torque. There should also be a high-performance E63 model that has outputs of 571 hp and 612 hp.

 

The Mercedes E Class Coupe is expected to be unveiled at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show before going on sale late in the year as a 2018 model.
