Ferrari CEO Sergio Marchionne recently confirmed plans for a LaFerrari Spider so it isn't terribly surprising that speculators are already going wild.

 

According to a posting on Mobile.de, Investment Cars GmbH is selling a Rosso red LaFerrari Spider for €4,285,714 ($4,885,285) before the 19% value added tax is factored in to raise the gross price to a staggering €5,100,000 ($5,811,348).

 

Ferrari has been tight-lipped about the car but previous reports have suggested the model will come with conventional doors and a removable roof that consists of two separate panels. Power will likely be provided by a 6.3-liter V12 engine that is backed up by an electric motor. This enables the LaFerrari coupe to produce a combined maximum output of 963 horsepower. The LaFerrari Spider will likely be slightly slower than the coupe which runs from 0-62 miles per hour in less than three seconds before hitting a top speed in excess of 217 mph.
