2017 Mitsubishi Lancer Earns Four-Star Safety Rating From Federal Government
The carryover 2017 Mitsubishi Lancer compact sedan earned a four-star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
On sale now at Mitsubishi dealerships, the 2017 Lancer received four stars in the front, side and rollover crash tests.
Standard safety equipment includes seven airbags, including a driver-side knee airbag, antilock brakes, electronic stability control and traction control.
New for 2017, a rearview camera is standard on all trim levels.
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has not rated the 2017 Lancer. But the 2016 Lancer scored an Acceptable rating in the institute's small-overlap crash test and Good ratings in all other crash tests.
