现代近日发布了第三代i30紧凑型掀背车趣图，这款车是专门为欧洲设计、研发和测试的。该车采用车厂新的“层叠式”前格栅，两侧是一对向后延伸LED前大灯和垂直日间行驶灯。新车外观比老款车明显更精致，从略微加长的后门判断，新车也比老款车更大。这意味着新车内部空间更宽敞，由于轴距增加，后排腿部空间将更充裕。同时，新车行李箱空间也将超过现行版五门掀背车的378立升（旅行车容积为528立升）。至于动力系统细节，目前还不清楚。但现代将于明年发布一款“N”版本，该车将搭载一台2.0升涡轮增压汽油引擎，功率将达到194千瓦/260马力，扭矩308.9牛米。现代车辆测试和高性能车开发部门主管Albert Biermann表示，i30 N最高时速将超过250公里。该车在上市之初将只提供六速手动变速箱，从2018年开始提供自动变速箱，同时还将考虑提供全轮驱动。现代将于9月7日发布标准版2017款i30，该车随后还将在巴黎车展亮相。

 

2017 Hyundai i30 teased ahead September 7 reveal

Hyundai has kicked off a teaser campaign for its third-gen i30 compact hatchback which has been designed, developed, and tested in Europe. It will feature the company’s new ‘Cascading’ front grille flanked by a pair of sweptback headlights and vertical daytime running lights, with both lighting clusters featuring LEDs.

 

It already looks more refined than its predecessor and appears to be bigger judging by the slightly longer rear doors. As a consequence, it means the new Hyundai i30 will have a more spacious cabin with additional rear legroom thanks to a stretched wheelbase which on the current model spans at 2,650 mm (104.3 inches). We are also expecting a jump in the trunk’s capacity over the current 378 liters of the five-door hatch (wagon has 528 liters).

 

Details concerning the engine lineup are not available at this point, but we do know the range will be topped in 2017 by an ‘N’ version which will use a turbocharged 2.0-liter gasoline unit. It will be a true hot hatch with somewhere in the region of 260 horsepower, as depicted in a teaser video showing the engine on a test bench pushing out 263.9 PS (260 hp / 194 kW) at 6,000 rpm and 308.9 Nm (228.09 lb-ft) of torque.

 

Albert Biermann, Hyundai’s Head of Vehicle Test & High Performance Development, has promised the i30 N will be able to max out at 155 mph (250 kph). Initially, only a six-speed manual transmission is going to be available, but an automatic gearbox is pinned for a 2018 launch. An all-wheel-drive layout is also being considered, although nothing is set in stone at this point.

 

Getting back to the regular 2017 i30, Hyundai will reveal the car on September 7 and will bring it to the Paris Motor Show set to open its doors on October 1.
