欧宝近日发布了造型更粗犷的Karl Rocks，据车厂介绍，该车更适合日常在城市道路行驶，它时尚的SUV外观和感觉更能吸引路人的目光。该车将在巴黎车展亮相，它的车身尺寸与Adam Rocks类似，同属城市迷你跨界车，但采用五门布局。它的行驶高度提高了18毫米，采用银色车顶，新的前后保险杠和塑料防擦条。新的银色车门装饰和侧踏板以及15英寸双色合金轮圈。车厢内采用织物座椅，可选装Radio R 4.0智能系统以替代标配的Radio R 300立体声音响。而信息娱乐系统可兼容苹果CarPlay和安卓Auto，可通过苹果地图或谷歌地图进行导航。该车标配的安全和舒适性配置包括可减少转向力度的城市转向模式，驻车辅助集成声音警示功能，巡航控制带限速功能。不过，这次欧宝没有发布该车动力系统细节，但预计该车搭载相同的1.0升三缸自然进气引擎，搭配前轮驱动和五速手动变速箱。该车将于年底在欧洲开始接受预订。
Rugged and raised Opel Karl Rocks revealed
Opel is introducing the Karl Rocks – “a mini car that can handle the daily challenges of the urban jungle while simultaneously dazzling onlookers with its trendy SUV look and feel,” according to the manufacturer.
Set to be revealed at the upcoming Paris Motor Show, the Karl Rocks joins the similarly sized Adam Rocks “urban mini-crossover” – and follows the same recipe, but combined with five doors. The ride height has been increased by 0.7 inches (18 millimeters), while the design has been enhanced with silver roof rails, new front and rear bumpers with plastic cladding, new silver decorative and protective side sills, and a set of 15-inch bi-color alloy wheels.
Matching the funky exterior design is a refreshed interior with Favo fabric upholstery for the seats – an exclusive feature for the Rocks version. Opel will also offer the Radio R 4.0 IntelliLink system as an optional replacement for the standard Radio R 300 stereo system. The infotainment system comes with CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and enables navigation via Apple Maps or Google Maps.
Opel’s “wild child” brings all the safety and comfort features of the standard Karl models, including a city steering mode that reduces steering effort at the push of a button, a park assist with acoustic warnings, and a cruise control with speed limiter.
The German company is still keeping engine details in secret, but it’s safe to bet the Karl Rocks will be powered by the same 1.0-liter three-cylinder naturally-aspirated unit that is available for the standard Karl models. The power is delivered to the front axle through a five-speed manual gearbox.
The Karl Rocks will be available to order by European customers from the end of the year.
