2017 Nissan GT-R Nismo priced from $174,990 in U.S.

Nissan has disclosed the pricing for the 2017 GT-R Nismo in the United States. Now in its third year of production, the most track-focused GT-R available on the market is available at $174,990 without the destination. Its launch comes in conjunction with its North American debut at the Japanese Classic Car Show at the Queen Mary in Long Beach, California.

 

The facelift brought similar revisions like the ones found in the regular GT-R, which we tested this summer. These include body changes for improved aerodynamics and fresher look.

 

But what’s more important, the VR38DETT 3.8-liter biturbo V6 engine now delivers 600 horsepower (441 kilowatts) and 481 pound-feet (651 Newton meters) of torque – an increase of 35 hp (26 kW) and 14 lb-ft (19 Nm) of torque versus the 2017 GT-R Premium models.

 

The unit is connected to a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, which can be “driver selected to shift at race car-like speeds.” The engineers of the company have also retuned the shock absorbers, stabilizers, and springs to improve the handling.

 

Step inside the cabin and you will find new and more comfortable seats, steering-wheel mounted paddle shifters, improved acoustic treatment, and a new larger eight-inch display for the infotainment system.
