国内生产的2016款别克昂科威在IIHS撞击测试中获得最高的“顶级款安全车+”（Top Safety Pick+）评级。要想获得最高评价，该车必须在所有五个方面测试中都获得“良好”评价，而且还要在正面撞击测试中获得“优秀”和“良好”评价。在正面小叠加面积碰撞测试中，座舱部分则几乎没有发生形变。不过,IIHS指出，假人的头部在滑向左侧前与前气囊完全接触，而座椅安全带可以允许假人前移的幅度很大。传感器显示，受伤的风险很低，而测试的结果良好，让评级机构为其打出了“良好”的评价。由于选装了前部紧急制动，昂科威的防撞系统可以获得“良好”评价。该系统可以让车辆在时速19公里及以下时避免发生撞击，同时可以将车速从时速40公里降至14.5公里。

 

Chinese-built Buick Envision earns highest safety rating

The 2016 Buick Envision is the first Chinese-made model that’s for sale in the United States from one of Detroit’s Big Three automakers, but customers don’t need to worry about the its safety because the model now has a Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. To earn the honor, a 2016 model year vehicle needs to score Good ratings in all five evaluations and have a Superior or Advanced grade for the front crash prevention system.

 

In the challenging small-overlap front crash test, the driver’s survival space maintained its shape well. However, the IIHS indicated, “the dummy's head barely contacted the frontal airbag before sliding off to the left, and the seat belt allowed far too much forward movement of the dummy.” The sensors showed a low risk of injury, and the results were still good enough to get the agency's highest rating -– Good.

 

With the optional front automatic braking, the Envision's crash prevention system receives an Advanced rating. The tech is able to avoid a collision from 12 miles per hour (19 kilometers per hour) and can slow the vehicle by 9 mph (14.5 kph) in a 25-mph (40-kph) accident.
