Mazda RT24-P Prototype races into the Los Angeles Auto Show
Mazda’s latest racing car is defined above all by extreme aerodynamics. The new RT24-P, revealed today at the Los Angeles Auto Show, has dramatic, enormous wings and spoilers all over. .

The RT24-P chassis was developed by Riley Technologies and Multimatic and is notable for the curving splitter out front, vertical fin atop the cabin, and enormous horizontal rear wing.
The car is powered by the same engine as last year’s Mazda prototype racer, a 2.0-liter turbo-four rated for around 600 horsepower.

There will be two of these Mazda prototype cars competing in 2017, both managed by Florida’s SpeedSource Race Engineering.
