福特公布新一代嘉年华技术细节和动力系统规格

福特昨天发布了新一代嘉年华,但直到现在才公布了其技术细节和动力系统规格。新一代嘉年华的动力系统包括三缸和四缸引擎,所有引擎都标配停启系统,而手动版还提供Eco经济模式以调整引擎和油门设置。买家可选择三种版本的1.0Ecoboost三缸引擎,包括74千瓦/99马力,92千瓦/123马力和103千瓦/138马力三种功率。而1.1升三缸汽油引擎功率有52千瓦/69马力和63千瓦/84马力两种规格。另一台1.5升柴油引擎功率有63千瓦/84马力和88千瓦/118马力两种。嘉年华五门版长度为4040毫米,比老款车增加了71毫米,宽1734毫米,比老款车增加12毫米,轴距2493毫米,比老款车增加了4毫米。福特称,由于新车底盘采用了更多硼钢及激光焊接工艺,因此其抗扭刚性提升了15%,操控更锐利。车辆配备的电子扭矩矢量控制可以在车辆转弯时对内侧车辆实施制动,使其过弯抓地力也提升了10%。新车的安全性也获得提升,车辆配备了两个摄像头,三个雷达和12个超声波传感器,可以探测到前方130米之内的车辆。行人探测系统提供的上述技术可以让车辆在夜间探测的前方的行人。此外,泊车辅助技术可以自动激活制动以防止撞到障碍物。此外,驾驶员辅助系统包括交通信号识别系统,自动远光灯,倒车侧方盲点监视器和自适应巡航控制。新一代嘉年华的内装也更显档次,中控台顶部设置信息娱乐系统触控显示屏,内部运行福特Sync 3软件。买家可选择4.2/6.5/8英寸显示屏。喜欢音乐的人可以选装675B&O Play 10扬声器立体声音响及设置在行李箱的低音炮。目前还不知道新一代嘉年华的价格和上市时间,预计该车将于明年上半年上市。

 

New Ford Fiesta tech details and powertrain specs finally revealed

Ford gave the world a good luck at the next-gen Fiesta's rounder design yesterday, but the Blue Oval held back most of the technical details about the latest version of its popular hatchback until now.

 

As expected, the Fiesta’s engine range includes a wide array of tunes of Ford’s three- and four-cylinder powerplants. All of them get stop-start, and an Eco button on examples with a manual transmission that adjusts the engine and throttle settings. Buyers can select from three versions of the gas-powered 1.0-liter Ecoboost three-cylinder with 99 horsepower (74 kilowatts), 123 hp (92 kW), and 138 hp (103 kW). Customers can also get a gasoline-fueled 1.1-liter three-cylinder with 69 hp (52 kW) or 84 hp (63 kW). A 1.5-liter diesel offers either 84 hp (63 kW) or 118 hp (88 kW).

 

The new Fiesta five-door measures 159.1 inches (4,040 millimeters) long, which is 2.8 inches (71 mm) more than the current model. At 68.3 inches (1,734 mm) wide, the latest model is also 0.5 inches (12 mm) broader than the present one. It rides on a 98.2-inch (2,493-mm) wheelbase – an increase of 0.2 inches (4 mm).

 

Ford reports that the new Fiesta is a sharper handler now because the chassis has 15 percent better torsional rigidity thanks to more boron steel and laser welds. Cornering grip also improves by 10 percent from the Electronic Torque Vectoring Control that brakes the inside wheel when cornering.

 

Ford is also putting a huge emphasis on occupant safety for the latest Fiesta. There are two cameras, three radars, and 12 ultrasonic sensors on board that can read 427 feet (130 meters) ahead of the vehicle. The tech allows for new Pedestrian Detection system that can now detect people at night. In addition the park assist can automatically activate the brakes to prevent hitting obstacles. In addition, the driver assistance suite includes traffic sign recognition, automatic high beams, cross traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control.

 

The Fiesta’s cabin takes steps upmarket, too. The touchscreen infotainment system appears to float at the top of the center stack and now runs on Ford’s Sync 3 software. Buyers can choose among 4.2-, 6.5-, and 8-inch displays. Music lovers can get a high-end 675-watt B&O Play 10-speaker stereo system with a subwoofer in the trunk.

 

We still don’t know about exact pricing and availability for the latest Fiesta. They should be available in the first half of 2017.
