Dongfeng Peugeot and Citroen were Recalled for 10,194 Units Because of Seat Belt Risks

Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile Company LTD has decided to recall Dongfeng Peugeot 408, 308, 2008 and Dongfeng Citroen C3-XR produced in September 2016 for a total of 10,194 units since April 1st, 2017 according to the requirement of Regulations on Administration for the Recalling of Defect Auto Products. It has already put it on record for AQSIQ.

 

The primary ignition materials of the seat belt pre-tensioner were matched inappropriate with chemical components by suppliers, thus when it encounters a crash, the front-row seat belt pre-tensioner may fail to work and cause dangers. Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile Company LTD is to check the cars recalled and replace the front-row seat belt assembly for free according to actual test results in order to prevent the cars from dangers.
