BMW 8 Series concept leaked
The brand-new 8 Series concept isn't scheduled to break cover until tomorrow night, but leaked images have ruined BMW's surprise.
The low-resolution pictures were posted by a German Car Forum user. They suggest the 8 Series takes BMW's design language into a sharper, more dynamic direction. While it's not as sharp-cornered as its land shark-esque predecessor, it boasts an angled rendition of the company's kidney grilles, wing-like headlights, and a bulging hood. The roof line peaks right above the driver and gently slopes into a tall rear end accented by a ducktail spoiler.
Pictures of the cabin weren't leaked. Similarly, technical specifications haven't been announced yet. We know the 8 Series will be positioned at the very top of the BMW lineup, so it will likely offer eight- and 12-cylinder engines borrowed from the BMW parts bin. Rear-wheel drive will come standard, and xDrive all-wheel drive will be offered at an extra cost.
