Jaguar officially reveals XF Sportbrake
Jaguar has officially revealed the XF Sportbrake, the first XF wagon to be offered in the US market.
The all-new bodystyle focuses on cargo capacity, providing 31.7 cubic feet of loadspace behind the second seating row or nearly 70 cubic feet of stowage with the 40:20:40 split seats lowered. When hauling heaby loads, rear air suspension automatically compensates to keep the vehicle level.
The revised interior layout also benefits from improved knee room and headroom for rear-seat passengers, while a full-length panoramic sunroof helps bathe the space in natural light.
Jaguar designers were tasked with maintaining and accentuating the XF sedan's sporty lines in a wagon silhouette. The adaptation is said to look longer than the sedan, despite sharing the same overall length, with an aerodynamic effociency of 0.29Cd.
The Sportbrake is powered by Jaguar Land Rover's supercharged V6, delivering 380 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. Drivers can expect to reach 60 mph in just 5.3 seconds.
The XF Sportbrake will start at $71,445 (including $995 freight) when it lands in US showrooms.
