2018 Toyota RAV4 Adventure Gets A Price
Toyota introduced the rugged RAV4 Adventure in February at the Chicago Auto Show and now is about to open the order books for anyone willing to pay at least the $28,695 starting price, including $995 destination. If you need all-wheel drive, you’ll need to fork out $29,395 before playing with the configurator to add optional equipment.
In order to boost its go-anywhere capabilities, Toyota has fiddled with the suspension by increasing the ground clearance to 6.5 inches (17 centimeters) or 0.4 in (1 cm) more than the regular RAV4. It comes as standard with extra goodies such as the Tow Prep Package encompassing a beefier radiator and extra coolers for the engine oil and transmission fluid.
As it is the case with all RAV4 models, the new Adventure trim benefits from various systems like Trailer Sway Control and Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC) to make your life easier behind the wheel. The Toyota Safety Sense P is also part of the deal and bundles technologies like a pre-collision system (with pedestrian detection), dynamic cruise control, automatic high-beam, and lane departure alert (including steering assistant).
To set it apart from the other RAV4 trims, Toyota is giving the new Adventure a wide array of black accents noticeable in the headlight bezels, fog lamp surround, roof rails, and on the new fender flares. Inside, there are model-reserved trim panels, a leather shift knob, and bespoke door sill protectors.
