一汽-大众周三表示，第二款SUV——TAYRON将在9月19日正式发布，根据先前当地媒体的报道，该车将于11月上市。从先前曝光的专利图看，TAYRON采用了车厂最新的家族设计。车头采用五边形LED日间行驶灯，看起来更像一汽大众7月30日上市的首款SUVT-Roc。车尾采用水平布局的大尺寸尾灯组，使车身看起来更宽。在尾灯组下面是logo“TAYRON”和型号“380TSI”或“330TSI”，这表明新车可提供不同的动力系统。此外，该车还在后保险杠下面采用了银色护板。新车长4589毫米，宽1860毫米，高1660毫米，轴距2731毫米。车厢内装大部分为黑色，饰以银色装饰，硕大多边形中控台显示屏位于三辐多功能方向盘右侧。车门把手采用更多平直线条。该车将可提供两台引擎。其中CUG2.0升涡轮增压引擎功率162千瓦/220马力。另一台DBF2.0升引擎功率137千瓦/186马力。与引擎搭配的是七速双离合器变速器。此外，新车还将提供四驱系统。
FAW-VW second SUV model TAYRON to be launched on Sept. 19
FAW-Volkswagen will launch its second SUV model dubbed the TAYRON and announce its Chinese name on September 19, the company said on Wednesday. According to previous local reports, the TAYRON is expected to go on sale in November.
From the patent images exposed before, the TAYRON boasts the automaker's latest iconic design in the exterior. It adopts the pentagonal LED daytime running lights, which looks quite similar to the T-Roc (in Chinese “Tange”), FAW-Volkswagen's first SUV model hitting the market on July 30. At the rear end, the large-sized taillights were horizontally arranged, making the vehicle shaped with generous proportion. Under the taillights, the logo “TAYRON” exists there along with the mark of “380TSI” or “330TSI” based on different power variants. Besides, the SUV has a silver fender under the rear bumper.
The new model measures 4,589mm in length, 1,860mm in width and 1,660mm in height. Wheelbase of the TAYRON is 2,731mm.
Inside, the TAYRON largely adopts bright black elements. Decorated with chrome trims, the massive polygonal center console display is on the right side of the three-spoke multifunctional steering wheel. The straight and flat lines were also used in the area of the door handle.
Reportedly, the TAYRON will be powered by two engine variants. The one is the CUG 2.0L turbocharged engine which can produce a maximum power of 220hp (162kW). The other is the DBF 2.0L turbocharged engine featuring a relatively lower power up to 186hp (137kW). The engine system might be paired with a seven-speed dual clutch transmission. In addition, the new mode will provide the four-wheel drive system for users.
