2020 Lamborghini Huracan Spyder Facelift Makes Spyshots Debut
Lamborghini is getting ready to update its Huracan range, and we have fresh spyshots showing the Spyder version.
The V10 Italian speed machine can be seen undergoing road testing wearing camouflage. However, we can still make out some of the new features.
The front end has been completely redesigned with extra intakes and a complicated look that seems to source the theme of the Sesto Elemento. We suspect that some of those nooks and crannies are used by a new active aero system. Of course, these headlights could just be used for testing while the real ones will be fitted closer to launch.
The profile features revisions for the rear fenders and the bottom air scoop. However, the most dramatic upgrades are at the back. The bumper now has two exhaust ports sitting high up, like on the Performante model. The diffuser is more aggressive, and there's a wing between the taillights, which have revised graphics as well. Again, some of the openings suggest the standard Huracan will have ALA as well.
Usually, more vents at the back of a supercar mean the engine makes more heat and horsepower. Like the Gallardo before it, the Huracan could be getting more standard V10 get-up-and-go. 640 ponies could make owners of the Performante regret their investment.
Even though the Urus is a V8 traction monster and McLaren is finding great success with its engines, Lamborghini says it doesn't want to make twin-turbo supercars. So at best, the Huracan could receive some mild hybrid tweak and other stuff to make it comply to the latest emissions tests.
The cabin of the updated Huracan will receive a 10-inch Tesla-like infotainment tablet display. Revisions will also be made to the trim of the seats and dash.
