Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG Coupe shows its metal in Stuttgart

A pre-production Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG was spotted in the metal on the streets of Stuttgart, Germany ahead of this month's official public debut at the 2014 New York Auto Show.

 

Mercedes-Benz unveiled the S63 AMG Coupe earlier last month and now we get the chance to see it in the metal on Stuttgart's public roads clearly standing out among other vehicles. It's wearing the same white paint as in the official pics provided by the German marque and these real life shots actually make the car look better.

 

Hiding underneath that long and sleek hood is a 5.5-liter V8 twin-turbo engine with 577 bhp (430 kW) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) sent to either the rear wheels or to both axles if configured with the 4MATIC system. The RWD car sprints to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.3 seconds while the all-wheel drive model will do it in 3.9 seconds, with both of them being electronically limited to 155 mph (250 km/h).

 

Deliveries of the 2014 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG Coupe will start in September.
