First X5 (F15) with M Performance kit exhibited at BMW Abu Dhabi Motors

BMW Abu Dhabi Motors is exhibiting yet another special car, the world's first X5 (F15) equipped with the M Performance package.

 

Sitting alongside a couple of special M135i and a 335i in BMW's dealership in Abu Dhabi, UAE is this third-generation BMW X5 xDrive50i fitted with the M Performance kit. They say it's the first car of this kind in the world featuring various carbon fiber bits and pieces such as the front air splitter, kidney grilles, air diffuser, roof spoiler and side sills.

 

Power comes from a V8 4.4-liter twin-turbo engine delivering 450 HP (330 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque to the xDrive all-wheel drive system via an eight-speed automatic gearbox which enables the vehicle to run the 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) sprint in 4.9 seconds on its way to an electronically-capped top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h). BMW says the 5,150 lbs (2,336 kg) SAV returns 22.4 - 22.6 mpg US (26.9 - 27.2 mpg UK or 10.4 - 10.5 liters/100 km) with CO2 emissions of 242 to 244 g/km.
