2015 Subaru Outback teased, debuts in New York

Subaru has released the first teaser image of the 2015 Outback ahead of its debut at the New York Auto Show.

 

Designed to offer "car-like handling and SUV capability," the redesigned model will follow in the footsteps of the 2015 Legacy which was introduced earlier this year.

 

Subaru didn't have much to say about the model but we can see it will feature a "nosecone" front fascia that "combines the grille and bumper into one smooth piece." The Outback also has LED-infused headlights and what appears to be plastic body cladding.

 

There's no word on specifications but engine options should carryover from the Legacy. This means choices could include a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 175 bhp (130 kW) and 174 lb-ft (235 Nm) of torque as well as a 3.6-liter six-cylinder with 256 bhp (191 kW) and 247 lb-ft (334 Nm) of torque.
