Mysterious Bentley Continental GT V8 prototype spied, could be a high-performance variant

A mysterious Bentley Continental GT V8 prototype has been spied undergoing testing on the Nürburgring.

 

Looking decidedly more aggressive than the GT V8 S, the mysterious model is distinguished by a new front splitter and a fixed rear wing. This suggests the car could be a high-performance variant but nothing is official as of yet.

 

Little else is known about the model but it will likely be more powerful than the GT V8 S which has a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine that develops 521 bhp (389 kW) and 680 Nm (502 lb-ft) of torque. It enables the coupe to accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 4.5 seconds before hitting a top speed of 192 mph (309 km/h).
