坊间关于宝马Z2的传言已经有好几年了,但据《汽车与驾驶员》杂志最新报道，该车将于2016或2017年发布。这款入门级敞篷跑车将与MINI Cooper和2系Active Tourer共享UKL前驱平台。虽然这会令很多宝马车迷不快，但此举有助于大幅降低车重，同时该车将采用普通的织物软顶。谈到车重，这款车的重量将略高于2500磅（约合1134公斤）。如果真是这样，Z2将比Z4 sDrive28i轻763磅（约合346公斤）。虽然现在还无法确认新车动力系统选择，但预计该车将提供一系列三缸和四缸引擎。另外据传还将有M版本，该车将采用全轮驱动并搭载2.0升四缸引擎，功率约为224千瓦/300马力。

 

BMW Z2 roadster coming in 2016 or 2017

Rumors about a BMW Z2 have been swirling for years but Car & Driver is reporting the model could finally be launched in 2016 or 2017.

According to their sources, the entry-level roadster will ride on the front-wheel drive UKL platform that underpins the MINI Cooper and 2-Series Active Tourer. This won't make the purists happy but the model is expected to be relatively lightweight as it will reportedly feature a conventional fabric roof.

 

Speaking of weight, the model could tip the scales at a little over 2500 lbs (1134 kg). If this number pans out, the Z2 would weight about 763 lbs (346 kg) less than the Z4 sDrive28i.

 

Engine options remain unconfirmed but the model would likely offer an assortment of three- and four-cylinder engines. There have also been rumors about an M variant which could have all-wheel drive and a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that develops up to 300 bhp ((224 kW).
