Porsche preparing refreshed 911 for 2015
Porsche is allegedly readying a facelifted 911 that is expected to arrive for the 2015 model year.
The refresh is said to include a few styling changes, with a revised front bumper and electronically-controlled front air ducts that shut to improve aerodynamic efficiency at high speeds, according to Autocar.
The German automaker is also believed to be working under the hood, improving output from 3.6- and 3.8-liter flat-six engines. The latter is expected to produce 425 horsepower in a successor to the 911 GTS.
Unnamed officials inside Porsche have denied rumors that the 911 lineup will see a flat-four mill. The smaller engine is still said to be on tap for the Boxster and Cayman, however.
