Seat Ibiza Cupster concept unveiled at Worthersee

Seat has unveiled the Ibiza Cupster concept at W?rthersee 2014.

 

Designed to celebrate the Ibiza's 30th anniversary, the Cupster is being billed as a "radical pocket rocket" that is based on the Ibiza Cupra.

 

Starting with the exterior, the Cupster is a two seat roadster with a chop windshield and a unique rear end. The styling won't win everyone over but the model has also been equipped with New Orange paint and 18-inch alloy wheels.

 

The interior is instantly recognizable but it has been outfitted with black Alcantara racing seats and a "pure aniline leather" steering wheel that is "colored all the way through, without a layer of pigment, making it open-pored, very supple and wonderful to the touch."

 

Power is provided by a 1.4-liter TSI four-cylinder engine that produces 180 HP (132 kW) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque. It is connected to a seven-speed DSG transmission which likely enables the concept to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in approximately seven seconds.
