2016 Porsche 911 Targa GTS makes spy photo debut

A prototype of the 2016 Porsche 911 Targa GTS has been grabbed on camera by our spy photographers for the first time.

 

Get ready for yet a new member of the ever expanding 911 lineup as our spies photographed what appears to be a GTS version of the 911 Targa. The coupe and cabriolet GTS have already been seen undergoing testing and now time has come for the Targa derivative which will likely be introduced towards the end of next year as a 2016MY.

 

These GTS versions will likely make use of a naturally-aspirated flat-six 3.8-liter engine taken from the Carrera S but massaged to deliver somewhere in the region of 425 PS (312 kW). Reports are indicating a manual transmission working with an all-wheel drive system but for the moment these are only just speculations.
