Subaru has announced the 2015 Outback will be priced from will be priced from $24,895 - excluding destination charges - in the United States.
The entry-level model isn't terribly exciting but features power windows / locks, a tilt / telescoping steering wheel, air conditioning and an infotainment system with a 6.2-inch display. The model also has a four-speaker audio system with a CD player and USB/iPod/Aux connectivity.
The Outback 2.5i Premium starts at $26,995 and includes all the aforementioned equipment as well a 10-way power driver’s seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and a dual-zone automatic climate control system. The model also has a six-speaker audio system and an infotainment system with a 7-inch display.
Moving further up the scale, the Outback 2.5i Limited starts at $29,995 and features perforated leather seats, heated seats and a power passenger seat. There's also a 12-speaker harman/kardon audio system, wood grain trim and 18-inch alloy wheels.
All the aforementioned models are powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder produces 175 bhp (130 kW) and 174 lb-ft (235 Nm) of torque. It is connected to a Lineartroniccontinuously variable transmission and a symmetrical all-wheel drive system that should enable the wagon to return 25 mpg city / 33 mpg highway / 28 mpg combined.
If that's not powerful enough, the range-topping Outback 3.6R Limited has a 3.6-liter six-cylinder engine that cranks out 256 bhp (191 kW) and 247 lb-ft (334 Nm) of torque. The model also has HID low beam headlights and a stainless steel dual exhaust system.
