Rolls-Royce crossover under development, could be launched in 2018
Rolls-Royce has been noncommittal about a crossover but the model is reportedly under development and codenamed "Cullinan" after the world's largest diamond.
Set to be introduced in late 2018, the crossover is slated to cost €275,000 ($372,000 / ￡221,586) and be positioned between the Ghost and Phantom. The company is reportedly targeting sales of 2000 units annually and a bulk of those are expected to come from the United States and the Middle East.
Little else is known about the model but it will reportedly use components from the X7 and 7-Series. There's also word that it will be a "real SUV" which can handle everything from sand to snow.
Engine options remain unconfirmed but there are rumors about a plug-in hybrid variant and a "torque-optimized" V12.
