雪佛兰近日证实,2015款科迈罗将是第五代车型中的最后一款,同时车厂还披露了2016款车型的最新细节。2016款车型将与凯迪拉克CTS共享长轴距Alpha平台，新车轴距将达到114.6英寸（约合2911毫米），比老款车增加2.3英寸（约合58毫米）。同时新车重量也将比老款车降低几百磅。新车动力系统选择除了保留原来的之外，还将增加一台新的2.0升四缸涡轮增压引擎，虽然目前不清楚其功率和扭矩，但凯迪拉克CTS搭载的这台引擎功率为202千瓦/272马力，扭矩399牛米。据说新车将采用复古风格，很多设计元素取自第二代科迈罗。不过也有报道称，新车将采用渐进式改款，造型与现行版相比并没有明显变化，看起来更像是一辆重新加工过的现行版。
Chevrolet recently confirmed the 2015 Camaro will be "its final year in the fifth generation" and new details are starting to emerge about the sixth-generation model.
According to Automobile Magazine, the 2016 Camaro will ride on the long-wheelbase Alpha platform that underpins the Cadillac CTS. This should result in a 114.6 inch long wheelbase which is 2.3 inches longer than the outgoing model. The change is also expected to make the car "several hundred pounds" lighter than its predecessor.
Engine options will reportedly carryover but there could be a new turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder option. There's no word on specifications but it produces up to 272 bhp (202 kW) and 295 lb-ft (399 Nm) of torque in the Cadillac CTS.
Interestingly, the magazine says the model will have retro-inspired styling that draws cues from the second-generation Camaro. However, previous reports have indicated the car will have an evolutionary design that is "not drastically different" and it looks like a "worked-over current-model Camaro."
