2015 Toyota FCV revealed at Aspen Ideas Festival

Toyota has unveiled the 2015 FCV at the Aspen Ideas Festival in Colorado.

 

Described as the "car of the future," the FCV is a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle that features an aerodynamic exterior that will likely provoke love or hate it reactions.

 

While the styling won't win everyone over, Toyota says the car is an "important step forward for zero-emission vehicle technology" and won’t require customers to compromise on safety, price or performance.

 

Toyota has remained relatively coy on specifies but they have previously said the model will accelerate from 0-100 km/h in approximately 10 seconds. The car will also have a range of approximately 300 miles (482 km) and can be refilled in less than five minutes.

 

The Toyota FCV will go on sale in Japan in April and pricing will start at approximately seven million yen ($69,111 / ￡40,410). The model will eventually go on sale in Europe and North America in the summer of 2015.
