Next-gen Kia Sorento spied with less camo

The fourth generation of the Kia Sorento has been spied undergoing testing in the Alps.

 

It appears the new Sorento will grow in size and some of the added length will be found in the wheelbase which will grant a more spacious cabin especially for those sitting in the second and third rows where there will be more legroom. We notice the vehicle will come with sweptback headlights and an enlarged front grille together with an upward beltline.

 

In terms of engines, expect uprated variants of the 4-cylinder 2.4-liter GDi and 3.3-liter V6 GDi along with a possible hybrid model featuring a 4-cylinder 2.3-liter gasoline engine working with an electric motor and a lithium-polymer battery with a 47 kW capacity. There should also be two CRDi engines with 2.0 and 2.2-liter displacements that will likely be tweaked as well.

 

The 2015 Kia Sorento will probably be unveiled in the months to come, with sales to commence early next year.
