据日经社最新报道,宝马和丰田将联合开发新一代Supra和Z4。这两款车型最早将于2017年发布。先前有报道称，这两款联合研制车型将采用前置引擎，后轮驱动布局，前后重量分配为50:50。该车将采用碳纤维和铝制部件以降低车重。动力系统预计为一台2.0升四缸引擎，功率160千瓦/218马力，另外还有一台3.0升六缸涡轮增压引擎，功率294千瓦/400马力。

 

BMW Toyota sports car due in 2017, will be a Supra & Z4

The rumor mill is back in action as a new report is indicating the jointly-developed BMW Toyota sports car will become the new Supra and Z4.

 

We've already heard these rumors in the past, Nikkei is reporting the cars could arrive as early as 2017. Unfortunately, the report is light on details so we're taking everything with a grain of salt.

 

Putting that massive disclaimer aside, previous rumors have suggested the suggested the jointly-developed sports car will have a front-engine, rear-wheel drive layout with a 50:50 front to rear weight distribution. It could also feature carbon fiber and aluminum components to help reduce weight.

 

Engine options remain a mystery but there have been countless rumors suggesting everything from a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 218 PS (160 kW) to a twin-turbo 3.0-liter six-cylinder with approximately 400 PS (294 kW).
