Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG Coupe on sale Monday from 244,009 EUR
A new report indicates the Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG Coupe will go on sale on July 14.
Mercedes-Benz still hasn't showed us the S65 AMG Coupe but according to German media the vehicle will be available on order as early as Monday. It will carry a starting price in Germany of 244,009.50 EUR which will make it a lot more expensive than the S63 AMG Coupe priced at 165,588.50 EUR.
As expected, the S65 AMG Coupe will borrow its heart from the S65 AMG Sedan, a twin-turbo V12 6.0-liter engine unleashing 630 PS (463 kW) between 4,800 rpm and 5,400 rpm and a peak torque of 1,000 Nm (737 lb-ft) available between 2,300 rpm and 4,300 rpm. The performance figures are likely to mirror those of the sedan so expect a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run in around 4.3 seconds and a 155 mph (250 km/h) electronically-limited top speed while fuel consumption will stand at a decent 11.9 liters / 100 km (19.7 mpg US / 23.7 mpg UK).
The same report mention the S65 AMG Coupe will come as standard with the Exclusive package, a carbon fiber AMG engine cover and a 7G-TRONIC AMG SPEEDSHIFT gearbox. It will ride on 20-inch AMG forged wheels and will also feature the Seat Comfort package, Air Balance package, Exclusive leather Nappa and Burmester 3D sound system.
The list of standard goodies continues with a 360-degree camera, SPLITVIEW function, emergency call system, six-disc changer, convenience telephony, keyless go system, rear electric sunblind and AMG roof lining trimmed in Nappa leather.
Deliveries of the Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG Coupe are believed to commence on September 27 in Germany. It should be mentioned both the S65 AMG Sedan and S65 AMG Coupe are available exclusively with a rear-wheel drive layout while the S63 variants can also be had with optional 4MATIC all-wheel drive.
