据外媒最新报道,奔驰计划为旗下车型增加一个AMG Sport版本,其定位在AMG版本之下。奔驰此举旨在推出一个可以和宝马M Performance和其他类似车型竞争的版本，AMG Sport系列的定位高于标准版车型，但低于性能全面提升的AMG版本，可以说介乎于两者之间。该版本车型将采用与标准版不同的车身内外装并对包括汽油和柴油引擎进行升级，提供专属底盘调校并对电子部件进行升级。就像AMG版本一样，奔驰计划让AMG Sport版本覆盖旗下所有车型。不过，奔驰将首先为A, C, E 和 S级车型提供该版本，随后将延伸至GLA, GLK, M（包括MLC）和GL级车型。首款采用AMG Sport版本的车型为C450 AMG Sport，该车搭载一台取自C400的3.0升V6引擎，但经过升级后功率提升25千瓦/34马力至274千瓦/367马力。该车将于今年晚些时候（10月巴黎车展）发布，可提供后驱和4MATIC四驱两种车型。

Mercedes-Benz plotting AMG Sport lineup to sit below fully-fledged AMG models 

A new report indicates Mercedes-Benz will introduce in a short while a sub-range of warm AMG Sport models.

Designed to take on BMW M Performance and other similar rivals, Mercedes-Benz's AMG Sport cars will slot above the standard versions but below the fully-fledged AMG versions. These cars will receive different exterior and interior styling along with uprated engines (both gasoline and diesel), bespoke chassis tuning and updated electronics.

One common characteristic of all AMG Sport models will be the wider tracks similar to those of the full AMG versions. The newly established sub-range of models will encompass cars from the A, C, E and S families but also from the GLA, GLK, M (including ML Coupe/MLC) and GL lineups.

The first model to pave the way will be the already rumored C450 AMG Sport packing an upgraded twin-turbo V6 3.0-liter sourced from the C400 but outputting an additional 34 bhp (25 kW) for a grand total of 367 bhp (274 kW). It is believed the model will be revealed later this year in both RWD and 4MATIC guises, possibly in October at the Paris Motor Show.
