大众在北美车展发布了Cross Coupe GTE五座概念车。这款车是大众未来将向北美发布跨级车的概念版车型。该车采用包括铝制格栅和LED前大灯组成的侵略性前脸，肌肉感轮拱，抛光黑色装饰件和强劲的车身特征线。另外还有向后倾斜车顶线条，与尾门集成在一起的扰流器和22英寸旅行轮圈。车厢内装设计有些平淡，但配置水平很高，包括半苯胺纳帕真皮座椅，抛光黑色内饰和铝制装饰件，数字仪表群，气候控制触控显示屏和集成10.1英寸显示屏的信息娱乐系统。该车动力系统为插电混动系统，包括一台3.6升V6引擎，两台电机和14.1千瓦时锂电池，最多功率264千瓦/355马力，扭矩379牛米。车辆全驱行驶时0-96公里加速时间6秒，纯电动模式下可行驶32公里。Cross Coupe GTE是纯概念车，大众表示，最终量产版将采用七座，并将于2016年底在田纳西州查塔努加工厂投产。

 

Volkswagen Cross Coupe GTE concept unveiled

Volkswagen has unveiled the Cross Coupe GTE concept, ahead of its debut at the North American International Auto Show.

 

Designed to preview an upcoming crossover for North America, the Cross Coupe GTE has an aggressive front fascia with an aluminum grille and LED headlights. The concept also has muscular fenders, gloss black accents and strong character lines. We can also see a sloping roofline, a tailgate-mounted spoiler and 22-inch aluminum wheels.

 

The five-seat interior is a little plain but comes nicely equipped with semi-aniline Nappa leather seats, gloss black trim and aluminum accents. There's a digital instrument cluster, a touchscreen climate control system and an infotainment system with a 10.1-inch display.

 

Power is provided by a plug-in hybrid powertrain that consists of a 3.6-liter V6 engine, two electric motors and a 14.1 kWh lithium-ion battery. This setup enables the concept to produce a combined maximum output of 355 bhp (264 kW) and 280 lb-ft (379 Nm) of torque. In terms of performance, the all-wheel drive model can accelerates from 0-60 mph in six seconds, return 70 MPGe and travel up to 20 miles (32 km) on electricity alone.

 

While the Cross Coupe GTE is only a concept, Volkswagen confirmed the production model will have seven seats and be built at their Chattanooga, Tennessee plant by the end of 2016.
