BMW asking $63,095 for X5 xDrive40e in United States

The guys over at Bimmerfest have managed to find out the 2016 BMW X5 xDrive40e will carry a starting price of $63,095 in United States.

 

The price tag – which includes a $995 fee for destination and handling – makes the hybrid X5 more expensive than the $57,700 xDrive35d version, but still cheaper than the $70,100 xDrive50i. According to EPA's preliminary evaluations, the xDrive40e version returns an estimated 55 MPGe and BMW is telling us the 9 kWh lithium-ion battery pack has enough juice for a maximum electric range of 19 miles (31 km).

 

With a combined output of 313 PS & 450 Nm, the X5 xDrive40e runs the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in 6.8 seconds and tops out at an electronically-capped 130 mph (210 km/h), but when running solely on electric power the maximum speed is limited to only 75 mph (120 km/h).
