X-Tomi Design近日发布了其绘制的宝马1系轿车合成图，这张图片是以宝马Compact Sedan概念车为基础绘制的。宝马将于明年上半年向中国市场发布1系轿车，这有助于进一步降低宝马轿车的门槛，提升性价比。从合成图看，这款车非常接近量产版。由于1系轿车与宝马最新发布的X1和2系Active Tourer / Gran Tourer共享UKL平台，因此将采用前轮驱动。不过该车可能搭载一些高功率引擎，同时可选装xDrive全驱系统。虽然宝马表示，1系轿车仅供中国市场，不过，为了能与奔驰CLA和奥迪A3轿车竞争，也不排除进入其他市场的可能性。

 

BMW 1-Series Sedan rendered based on Compact Sedan Concept

X-Tomi Design has decided to tone down the BMW Compact Sedan Concept to show us a very possible look for next year’s BMW 1-Series Sedan.

 

Mercedes-Benz and Audi have already moved downmarket with the CLA and the A3 Sedan, so naturally BMW is just about ready to do the same thing with its upcoming 1-Series Sedan. It will come out in the first half of next year in China and will entice buyers eager to enter the premium sedan segment at a lower starting price.

 

Seen here is a speculative render of the car and most likely the real deal will have a lot in common with X-Tomi Design’s digital interpretation of BMW’s smallest sedan. The concept is already pretty much ready to reach the assembly line, so the changes necessary to become a series production model are quite easy to imagine.

 

Don’t get your hopes up too high for a RWD layout as the 1-Series Sedan will likely ride on the front-wheel drive UKL platform borrowed from the latest X1 and 2-Series Active Tourer / Gran Tourer. Like in those models, some of the beefier engines will be offered at an additional cost with an optional xDrive all-wheel drive setup for superior traction.

 

BMW keeps saying the 1-Series Sedan will be sold only in China, but don’t be too surprised if at some point the model will be launched in markets where the CLA and A3 Sedan are being sold.
