斯柯达正在开发一款定位在野帝之下的紧凑型跨界车，最近该车合成图在网上曝光。斯柯达最近决定不再开发新款Roomster以便集中精力发展跨界车和SUV。车厂首款七座车型将在明年巴黎车展亮相，随后将推出其五座轿跑车版本。另外，斯柯达还将于2018年发布新一代野帝和更小的紧凑型跨界车，这次曝光的合成图展示的就是这款车，预计该车主要竞争车型是日产Juke。虽然斯柯达首款七座车型将提供全驱系统作为选装件，但这款紧凑车型将只提供前驱版本。至于外观设计，该车仍将保持斯柯达一贯的保守风格，因此不要指望新车会有什么突破性的变化。由于斯柯达未来每款新车都更高端化，因此这款紧凑型跨界车价格不会便宜，同时仍将注重实用性，这也是斯柯达的一贯作风。预计该车将拥有宽敞的内部空间和同级车领先的行李箱容积。

 

Skoda sub-Yeti crossover speculatively rendered

Skoda’s rumored small crossover has been digitally imagined by our colleagues at OmniAuto.it.

 

Yesterday we found out Skoda’s decision to axe development of a new Roomster in order to focus on crossovers and SUVs. The first of the bunch will be a seven-seater due at next year’s Paris Motor Show and it will be followed by a five-door coupe-ish version. Also on Skoda’s agenda are a new Yeti due in 2018 and a smaller Juke-sized crossover rendered above.

 

While the first three will be offered with an optional all-wheel drive arrangement, the sub-Yeti model is expected to come only as a FWD model. Last time we heard, this small crossover wasn’t approved yet, but most likely it will come sooner or later as crossovers are still insanely popular and represent fat cash cows for most automakers.

 

As for design, Skoda is known for its conservative styling, so don’t expect anything extravagant as the company will play it safe, like most current products coming from the Volkswagen Group. With Skoda moving more upmarket with each new model, this small crossover probably won’t be cheaper than segment rivals. It will likely be worth it though as the successful Czech brand focuses primarily on practicality. As a consequence, expect the sub-Yeti model to have the roomiest cabin and trunk in its class.
