Fiat 500 Abarth facelift spied for the first time

Fiat recently introduced the facelifted 500 and now the company is turning its attention to the 500 Abarth.

 

Caught returning from cold weather testing in Sweden, the facelifted model is heavily camouflaged but appears to feature a sportier front bumper with larger air intakes. The car also features revised side skirts and new lighting units.

 

The interior will echo the standard model so changes will likely include a new steering wheel, improved seats, and a revised center console. We can also expected updated upholstery, NVH improvements, and a 7-inch TFT display in the instrument cluster. Last but not least, there should be a Uconnect infotainment system with a five-inch display.

 

Under the hood, there will likely be a familiar turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine that has outputs of 135 hp (100 kW), 160 hp (119 kW), 180 hp (134 kW), 190 hp (141 kW), and 205 hp (152 kW).

 

The Fiat 500 Abarth is expected to debut at the Geneva Motor Show.
