The 2017 Mercedes GLA has been spied undergoing testing in Europe.

 

Looking instantly recognizable, the facelifted model will apparently be equipped with new head- and taillights. There doesn't appear to be any other changes but the production model is expected to follow in the footsteps of the facelifted A and B Class by adopting modestly revised bumpers.

 

The interior is also expected to boast a number of minor changes including a new steering wheel and revised switchgear. There could also be updated trim and upholstery combinations.

 

Engine options will likely carryover and include the usual assortment of four-cylinder petrol and diesel units. However, there could be some minor modifications to improve performance and increase fuel efficiency.

 

The Mercedes GLA is expected to be introduced late this year. If the timing pans out, the facelifted GLA will go on sale shortly after the Infiniti QX30. This will be rather interesting as both models are based on the same platform and feature a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 208 horsepower.
