Nissan Titan Warrior concept could go into production

Nissan recently unveiled the Titan Warrior concept at the North American International Auto Show and now the company is hinting the model could go into production.

 

While the off-road truck segment is relatively small, models such as the Ford F-150 Raptor and Ram 1500 Rebel have done fairly well. The trucks also have a halo effect which helps to promote the entire lineup.

 

As a refresher, the Titan Warrior concept was based on the Titan XD and featured an aggressive exterior with aluminum skid plates, extended fender flares, and 18-inch alloy wheels with massive 37-inch off-road tires. The truck also has LED headlights, side steps, and a four-tailpipe exhaust system. The unique styling continued in the cabin as designers installed auxiliary gauges, carbon fiber trim and polished chrome accents.

 

The concept was powered by a 5.0-liter Cummins turbodiesel V8 engine with 310 horsepower and 555 pound-feet of torque but Nissan North America's Director of Product Planning for trucks and SUVs Rich Miller suggested a production variant could come with performance tweaks.
