Mitsubishi ASX & L200 concepts teased for Geneva

Mitsubishi has announced plans to introduce two new concepts at the Geneva Motor Show.

 

Based on the 2017 ASX and L200, the concepts will feature a unique "mid-grey livery" with bright orange accents and black alloy wheels. The changes sound relatively minor and suggest the company could be considering special editions based on the models.

 

There's no word on what will power the concepts but the Outlander Sport can be equipped with two different engines in the United States. Choices include an entry-level 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 148 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque as well as a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with 168 hp and 167 lb-ft of torque.

 

Besides the ASX and L200 concepts, Mitsubishi will display the eX concept which originally debuted at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show. Designed to preview an upcoming compact crossover, the concept features a bold Dynamic Shield front fascia with slender LED headlights. The model also has a 'floating roof,' sleek lines, and boomeranged-shaped LED taillights. Power is provided by an electric powertrain that will enable drivers to travel up to 248 miles on a single charge.
